Yes you read that right, the world of Asterix is not simply limited to comic book series, but has also expanded to movies and games. Surprised? Well, you are in for a real treat because there is so much variety that you can continue to binge play the Asterix games and watch movies without fear of running out of them.

Asterix Films

The Asterix comics were adapted into 14 films starting from the year 1967, when a black and white television film was released. It came out on DVD in 2002. Another animated film based on the album Asterix the Gaul was also released in 1967. The most recent Asterix film came out in 2018, which is an original computer-animated story by the name of Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion. If you are a diehard fan of the comic series, you can check out all 14 movies which are available on DVDs.

Asterix Board Games

When it comes to the world of gaming, Asterix was created in multiple formats. It has featured as gamebooks, where there are a series of books where you can choose your own adventure. There are also roleplaying game books in which multiple players are moderated by the game maker. 

There are also a variety of board games, 15 to be exact, that you can play. The first board game was launched in 1970 and since then many more have arrived. The last game was created by Atomic Mix in 2012. Licensed games have also been created that include snakes and ladders, ludo, backgammon, monopoly and more.

Asterix Video Games

You may not be surprised to hear this, but there are 40 Asterix video games that you can choose from. Most of the games were produced in Europe and Australia in the PAL format. Some video games were also produced in North America and Brazil.
