Can’t believe your eyes? Yes, there really is an Asterix Theme Park, where you can enjoy to your heart’s limit.

Launched in 1989, Asterix Theme Park is the second largest theme park in France. It is known to capture the attention of 14 million people annually.

It has a total of 7 roller coasters, 6 water rides, theme rides from historic cultures like those of Ancient Greece, Rome, Ancient Egypt and the Gauls. Located some 35km north of Paris, the park is present in the commune of Plailly. So what are some of the must do’s at this park? Read on to find out more.

Tonnerre de Zeus

This is a wooden roller coaster that was built in 1997 by Custom Coasters International. It has a
rustic feel of the days gone by, which is why you must give it a go.

Romus et Rapidus

A river rafting ride, this one is perfect for people of all ages. It is based on the tale of Romulus and
Remus, the fictional guys who founded Rome. Make sure you don’t take small children as the
current can be very swift.

Transdemonium

This is a ghost train that is filled with many special effects that kids who are into horror stories will absolutely love. Another place similar to this is the Le Defi de Cesar, which is a mad house.

Le Delphiarium

It is one of the largest dolphin enclosures in Europe and children of all  ages will absolutely adore looking at the cute and friendly dolphins.Remus, the fictional guys who founded Rome. Make sure you don’t take small children as the current can be very swift.

There are many eateries inside the park, so you can make a whole day’s picnic when you visit the park. Just make sure you book the tickets in advance if you are going in the peak season where there are many tourists around.
