On page 12 the front of Ekonomikrisis' boat
is blind, while over on page 19 the boat suddenly has eyes!
Also on page 16, Ekonomikrisis'
moustache dissapears.
From Sridhar: "On Panel 4
(Page 11) the sun is shown setting. Immediately after on Panel
5, the full moon is about to set. It is well known that the
full moon rises in the East pretty much exactly when the sun
sets in the West. Getafix would have had to wait for about
12 hours for the moon to actually set in the West. This is
improbable as subsequent Panels seem to indicate that night
has just fallen on our village."
Continuity
The sillhouette of a Bear can be seen on
page 5, yet in Asterix
and the Great Crossing, one of the first clues that Asterix
and Obelix have that they aren't in Gaul anymore is that Obelix
catches a bear and says "there aren't any bears near
our village... so where are we?".
Sridhar notices: "Ekonomikrisis
on Page 21 (Panel 5) is frightened that the pirates will take
all his merchandise. And he even requests the Holiday-Makers
to help fight the pirates("exciting new game called Naval
battles"). He does all this, knowing fully well that
Asterix & Obelix will decimate the pirates as they did
twice in 'Asterix the Gladiator' (on the way to Rome and on
the way back from Rome with Caius Fatuous). So, he has nothing
to be afraid of, yet he panics unnecessarily."
