Beyond 33

With the release of the new Asterix book - Asterix and the Falling Sky in October 2005, there are 33 main Asterix Comic Books. However, due to the success of the series, there were numerous other Asterix Spinoffs published. These included Game Books, Movie Books, Poster Books, Cooking Books, Dogmatix Books and more!

A list of Asterix Anthologies or Omnibuses - collected editions that contain more than one Asterix book.

About: What appears to be a different Stamp Album. This from Erik "On the cover we only see Asterix while we see Obelix on the backcover. The first page is reserved for the Asterix Guernsey stamps, which are pictured there. It is from 1992 and has 24 pages. It is illustrated with some Asterix characters inside as well. There are 4 different page compositions, so there are always 6 pages looking identically."

	Asterix and the English Language * About: Series of four books by Uderzo, Christopher Hart, Anthea Bell, Derek Hockridge published by Hodder & Stoughton Educational Division Asterix and the English Language - Asterix and Son (Teach Yourself) (1990) Asterix and the English Language 2 - Asterix and the Magic Carpet (Teach Yourself) (1990) Asterix and the English Language 3: Obelix and Co (Teach Yourself) (1992) Asterix and the English Language 4: Asterix and the Banquet (Teach Yourself) (1992) Nic Tan has kindly provided information about Book 3: "Essentially, the book follows the story of Obelix and co. progressively, using direct pictures from the story. As the story continues, the difficulty level of learning naturally progresses as would most language-learning books. There would be extracts of pages of the story that would then follow with comprehension-style questions. The book is also supposed to come with a cassette. For example, the first extract is on the scene where Caius Preposterous explains to Caesar and his senators his plan of corrupting the Gauls, and ends at the panel where the legionary says "No! the Big Fat Brute!" as Obelix enters the Roman camp. Then follows questions of different aspects of grammar e.g. Comprehension (How is Caius Preposterous different from Caesar's advisors?), vocabulary, verbs etc." A sample page can be seen here.

Asterix Anthologies, Asterix Omnibuses, Asterix Collected editions... call them what you may, but there have been a plethora of these books published in english combining 2, 4, 5 and even 6 Asterix adventures in the one book.
